Penetanguishene Real Estate
If you were starting to think that this location in northern Simcoe County has a long name…you wait until you hear about its history! Penetanguishene was established a very long time ago, back to about 1610. Penetanguishene started out very small, but has since grown into a respectably-sized community. A good majority of the people currently living in Penetanguishene who are there ancestrally have Quebecois French in their blood, as a group of Quebecois came to Penetanguishene in the 1840s to help farm the fertile land and drive trade and business to this location.Potential homebuyers, take note! There is real estate for sale in Penetanguishene that is highly desired, and it would be in your best interests to take advantage and make the smartest investment you could ever make now! Bungalows, detached homes, and plenty of spacious and family-oriented homes await you, all set in Penetanguishene’s most premium locations. How would you feel if you knew you wanted to make your way down to a place like Toronto, but weren’t sure what highway would be best to take there? You’d feel a little bummed out, wouldn’t you? Well, good news! You won’t have to feel that way any longer, as your answer lies right here! Your best and most direct route to Toronto would be to take the Highway 93 (which starts right in the middle of Penetanguishene) south until you reach the much larger Highway 400. Taking that directly south past Barrie leads you right into the city of Toronto. The best part is, this route works for when you come back as well (no one-way roads)! However, if you’d much rather head further north for a little ‘Sunday drive’, then your best bet would be to go east on the Highway 12 (from just a little south of Penetanguishene on the 93) until you come (once again) to the Highway 400. Heading north on that (even past the point where it becomes a different highway), you can get as far as Sudbury!Penetanguishene offers those staying or visiting the municipality access to a voluminous number of parks and parkettes (12 in all), from the accessible Memorial Park to the dazzling Penetanguishene Rotary Park (which has a massive amount of greenspace). As far as education goes in Penetanguishene, you will be pleased to know that there are roughly 10 or so schools in the area, all of the elementary/secondary/religious natures. Graduation will not be an issue at all, given that many of these schools are located in close proximity to each other (which also helps to create a safer neighborhood for all).
